In service means real equipment has already exchanged data with Neolia and a record proves it. Ready, activated for the project means the connector is written and only an account with the supplier, a key or the gateway is missing, never a line of code. Studied for the project means the connection depends on the dwelling, the equipment installed and the rights granted.

Compatibility depends on the model, the available interface and the firmware version. A technical check before the project remains recommended.

A vendor-neutral platform

We build no hardware. We talk to yours.

48 protocols, gateways and brands Neolia can connect today. The list grows with every project.

Manufacturers do remarkable work on meters, door stations, sensors and controllers, on standard, reliable protocols. Our job is to build on it, not to redo it. You keep your brands and your installations stay in place.

That does not mean we have no view. We recommend the equipment we know holds up in an occupied building, easy to fit and still available in a few years, and we say so in the tender documents. It is a recommendation, never a condition of entry.

When a device can communicate, we look at how to make it talk to Neolia.

To go further.

The rule fits in one sentence: when a device exposes a documented interface, it can usually be integrated into Neolia.

Which routes we use to reach a device four routes

The rule has limits, and keeping quiet about them would help no one. A model our connectors do not yet cover calls for a study, sometimes a development, and the result depends on the manufacturer, on the firmware installed, on the access rights granted and on whether a gateway is present. We say so when we quote, never afterwards. In practice, almost everything goes through one of these four paths.

Access path

Solar Manager

A widely used Swiss gateway. It opens up inverters, batteries, a large share of heat pumps and several charge points at once.

Prerequisite. Assumes the Solar Manager unit is installed at the customer's.

Access path

Our OCPP server

Neolia hosts the charging station management server. It opens for the project, then the stations announce themselves, which avoids one manufacturer account per brand.

Prerequisite. Assumes a charge point that genuinely speaks OCPP, which not every model in a range does, and the server being opened for the building concerned.

Access path

The building's radio

One LoRaWAN antenna fitted once for the whole building. Sensors connect to it without cables. Radio meters use the same antenna: reading them is ready, but it has not yet been used on any installed meter.

Prerequisite. Assumes radio coverage checked at installation, stairwell and basements included.

Access path

The manufacturer's interface

When a device publishes a documented interface, we write the matching connector.

Prerequisite. The result depends on the manufacturer, the firmware and the access rights granted.

The protocols and where they stand ten protocols
Protocol What it does Through what Status
SIP The intercom: video call from the door station and door release during the call. Akuvox door stations In service
OCPP Charging stations, whatever the manufacturer. The server is ours, it opens for the project and the station connects to it. Juice, Zaptec, Easee, ABB, KEBA, Alfen, Wallbox Ready, activated per project
LoRaWAN Long-range sensors, with no cabling: one antenna for the whole building. Radio meters use the same antenna. Reading them is ready, but it has not yet been used on any installed meter. Milesight UG63 antenna, Dragino LT-22222 module In service
M-Bus Reading heat and water meters connected on a wired bus. ADFweb HD67931 gateway Ready, activated per project
MQTT Any device that publishes its states in real time on a message bus. Generic gateway Ready, activated per project
REST The interfaces manufacturers publish, when documented and open. Manufacturers' APIs, case by case Ready, activated per project
Webhooks An event is sent to your own tools the moment it happens. Your systems In service
KNX IoT Building automation, through the interface published by the KNX Association. Gateways such as Schneider Wiser for KNX or spaceLYnk Ready, activated per project
Zigbee and Z-Wave The dwelling's radio devices: detectors, sockets, thermostatic valves. Through a home automation gateway installed in the home, never directly Studied per project
What is not integrated Modbus, BACnet, Matter

What is not on this page is not yet integrated. Modbus and BACnet, regularly requested for technical supervision, have no Neolia connector today. Neither do Matter and Thread. If your portfolio depends on them, tell us during the study: we will answer with a date or with a no, never with a maybe.

Why we recommend certain equipment the Neolia specification

Agnostic, but not without an opinion

We impose no brand. We tell you which ones last.

Not every combination is equal, and pointing you to the ones we know to be reliable is part of our job. A proven specification is quicker to install, fails less often and can still be sourced years later. That is all our recommendation does: the choice stays yours in all three cases.

01

What we recommend

The Neolia specification

The door station, the radio gateway and the sensors we select, chosen for easy fitting, reliability in service and long-term availability. This is the scope of the fixed price per stairwell, and of remote commissioning.

The common case, in new build as in existing buildings.

02

What is already installed

Your current installation

Meters, door station, controllers, inverters, charge points: when the device exposes an interface and a connector already exists for its model, it is usually integrated with no special study. The brands we connect today are listed further down this page.

Renovation, when the existing equipment can still be used.

03

What you impose

Equipment outside the specification

A model absent from our connectors can usually be integrated when it exposes a documented interface. The outcome then depends on the manufacturer, the firmware and the access rights granted: integration is studied case by case, and quoted separately when it is bespoke rather than off the shelf.

A portfolio already standardised on another brand.

We manufacture none of this equipment. We select it on the market, and you can buy it elsewhere. Our recommendation exists to make the project cheaper and simpler to operate, never to restrict what you are allowed to install.

Integrating new equipment what we look at

Send us the brand, the exact model and, if you have it, the manufacturer's technical documentation. We look at three things: whether the device exposes an interface, whether that interface is documented, and whether the necessary access rights can be obtained. We then answer with a date or with a no, never with a maybe.

Equipment missing from this page is not incompatible, it simply has not been connected yet. Describe your installation to us.

The full list, by family 48 entries

The vast majority of these names are not an extra integration: they are brands reached through an existing one. Each line therefore states its path. A heat pump reached through Solar Manager assumes the Solar Manager unit is installed, and that is better written here than discovered on site.
