01What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a site places in your browser. It can, for example, keep your preferred language from one visit to the next, or count how many people read an article. Local storage and similar trackers count as cookies in this policy.
02Our approach
We apply three simple rules:
- No advertising cookie, ever. No Meta pixel, no Google Ads, no TikTok.
- No cross-site tracker, neither ours nor a third party's.
- No audience measurement is in place today. If we ever add a tool, it will be a European service with no cookie and no individual identifier, and this policy will be updated first.
You will not see a consent banner on neolia.ch because we have nothing to ask you: the site sets no cookies. The only thing it writes in your browser is described in the next chapter, it never leaves your device and it disappears when you close the tab.
03What neolia.ch writes in your browser
neolia.ch sets no cookies. The site writes a single value, and in your browser's session storage, not in a cookie:
| Name | Where | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
neolia-doc-metier | Session storage (sessionStorage) | Remembers the trade tab you opened in the documentation (owner, property manager, contractor, installer), so that the back link from a document brings you back where you were | Erased when the tab is closed |
This value contains no personal data, never leaves your device and is passed to nobody. It is written only if you open the documentation page.
Your language is not stored: it is carried by the address of the page you are reading. Changing language changes the address, nothing is remembered.
If you see anything else being set on neolia.ch, write to us at contact@neolia.ch: it is a mistake on our part, and we will correct it.
The demonstration page, the only exception
The /demo page shows a booking calendar provided by Cal.com, loaded from app.cal.eu. That calendar opens in its own frame and sets its own cookies there, needed to run it. We do not read them and we have no access to them. They fall under that provider's policy, whose role and location are described in the privacy policy.
As long as you do not open that page, no third party writes anything in your browser.
And no third party sees you go by either. The fonts, images and scripts of the site are served from neolia.ch, never from an outside library: we load neither Google Fonts, nor an icon library, nor an audience measurement tool. The check takes one move: open the « Network » tab of your browser and look at the list of domains called.
04Audience measurement
The site currently uses no audience measurement tool: no browsing data is collected for measurement. Only the technical logs of the delivery infrastructure (IP address, resource requested, timestamp) are processed, for security and correct operation of the site.
If we ever add a measurement tool, it will be a European service, with no cookie and no individual identifier, and this page will be updated first.
05Consent
Storage strictly necessary to run a page requires no prior consent, under the nLPD as under the ePrivacy Directive. That is the case for the single value described in chapter 3, and for the cookies that the calendar on the demonstration page sets to hold your appointment.
Any storage for a different purpose (audience measurement with an identifier, marketing) would happen only after your explicit opt-in consent, with no pre-ticked box. To date, that situation does not arise on neolia.ch.
06Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete stored cookies, or block them, at any time from your browser preferences. Help links:
On neolia.ch there is nothing to delete: the only value written disappears by itself when you close the tab, and erasing it in the meantime only reopens the documentation on its first trade tab. The settings above do serve to clear the cookies set by the calendar on the demonstration page.
07In the resident app
The Neolia mobile app is not a web browser: it uses no cookies in the HTTP sense. In its secure sandbox, it stores your session token, your preferences (language, ringtones) and a cache of the latest notifications locally. No third-party measurement or advertising SDK is embedded.
